Shockwave [Director] Files

This page contains links to some Shockwave files that I've written using Macromedia Director. I hope you like them.

I've recently started learning Director and Lingo to get a feel for it. In my day job I develop server-based Java applications and web sites.

The examples presented here are basically translations or variations of Java applets I wrote back in 1997.

Shockwave for Director 8 Plugin (or later) is required.

Note: When you select an example (from the menu below) it will open in a separate window. Close the example's window when you're done.

Director Shockwaves:

• S-Grapher
  This Director applet is based on a Java applet I wrote in 1997 called S-Grapher Lite. That applet allowed users to view some preset patterns called s-graphs. What is an s-graph? It's the name I've given to a pattern generated by playing around with some trig functions. These patterns look similar to spirographs, but use a different principle.
  
  
• Palindrome Tester
  This little Director applet let's you type in a phrase and then analyzes it to see if it is a palindrome.
  
  
• Lotto Numbers Selector
  This Director applet uses a random number generator to pick numbers for lotto or bingo.
